OLD RESIDENT OF REMSEN IS DEAD
J. H. KRAMER PASSES AWAY IN HOSPITAL
J. H. Kramer, a retired farmer, whose home was in Remsen, died June 12 in Sacred Heart hospital, where he had been a patient for a week following a cerebral hemorrhage.
J. H. Kramer was born December 8, 1861 in Muenster [Minster], Ohio, and lived in Petersburg, Iowa, before he came to Plymouth county in 1885. On February 3, 1885, he was married to Dena Kramer at Petersburg and came to Remsen vicinity soon thereafter.
He is survived by his wife and the following children: John Kramer, Roswell, S.D.; Joe Kramer, Marcus; Mrs. Robert M. Foley (Anna), Salem, S.D.; Wm. A. Kramer, Remsen; Fred Kramer, Douglas, N.D.; Mrs. Mathilda Kasper, Remsen; Frank Kramer, Le Mars; Charles H. Kramer, Remsen; Mrs. Leonard Treinen and Harry B. Kramer, LeMars. He is also survived by a brother, Joseph B. Kramer, Phoenis, Arizona. One daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Bohnenkamp, died in 1924, and two children died in infancy.
Funeral services at 9:30 Monday morning, June 16, were conducted by Msgr. M. A. Schemel and burial was in St. Mary's cemetery.
