Mrs. Anna Bell Messer Black, 82, died at her home near Lockridge this morning. She was the wife of George Black, who survives her. Mrs. Black was born in Henry County on October 22, 1862. Six Children survive --- Mrs. Homer Wilson, north of Mt. Pleasant, Harry Black of Fairfield, Earl of Davenport, George of Fairfield, Jessie, at home and Leslie of Salem. Two children, Mrs. Geneva Noble and Mrs. Eva Adams, preceded her in death.
The body was brought to the Carne Funeral home, from which the funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday at 1:30. Burial will be in the Lockridge cemetery.
