Una Rose Nevitt Hafling, 88, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at her daughter's home in Crestwood, KY. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church for 42 years, and was a member of SS Simon & Jude. Una Rose was a kind and loving person and everyone who met her became her friend. Her ministry in life was caring for her children and loving others.
Una Rose was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Nevitt Jr. Una Rose is survived by her husband, Lloyd W. Hafling; 12 children, Bob Nevitt (Pat), Marilyn Dietz, Carolyn Nevitt, Donna Borders (Bobby), Jim Nevitt (Gail), Ken Nevitt (Mary Beth), David Nevitt, Susan Nevitt (Wayne), Betty Stringer (Ken), Anthony Nevitt, John Nevitt, and Julie Nevitt; 22 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four nephews; a brother, Jim Montgomery (Fay); and seven Hafling children, Paula Hafling, Lloyd Hafling Jr. (Judy), Eddie Hafling (Karen), Ann Marie Hafling, Jimmy Hafling (Shannon), David Hafling (Phyllis), and Teresa Harmon (Alex).
The funeral is 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John Vianney, 4839 Southside Drive, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday at J. E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Drive. Memorials may be sent to Hosparus or SS Simon & Jude's Helping Hand.
