Mrs. Lillie Pinney

Following an illness of slight duration, the death of Mrs. Lillie R. Pinney, widow of Earle Pinney, occurred at 27-B Mechanic street, at 4:10 Monday afternoon.

The deceased was taken ill a week ago last Saturday night, while engaged in her work at the A & P store on North Broad street. She was removed to her home, but her condition became worse and her death resulted from toxic poisoning.

Mrs. Pinney was born in Sidney Center, Delaware county, Oct. 13, 1885; but had been a resident of Norwich about 20 years. Her husband, Earle Pinney, passed away nearly two years ago.

The deceased was a member of the Broad street M. E. church, the Aldrich Bible class and the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Maydole Hose company. She is survived by two daughter, Gertrude and Beulah, two sons, Carlton and Wilford, all of Norwich, her aged mother, Mrs. Amanda Winnie of Bainbridge, a sister, Mrs. George Hard of this city, and three brothers, John Whitney of Sidney Center, Arthur Whitney of Harriman, N.Y., and Charles Whitney of Bainbridge.

Funeral services will be held from the Mechanic street home at 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon, with burial in Mt. Hope cemetery, Rev. J. W. Nicholson, officiating.
