Mary Niebieski Montague, 87, of Marcellus, died Tuesday. She was a life resident of Marcellus. Mary worked 35 years for the railroad - 25 years with NY Central and Penn Central, and 10 years as manager of the Skaneateles Short Line, retiring in 1981. Mary was a member of the National Railway Historic Society, the Martisco Chapter, and NARV. She was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church, Marcellus. Her husband of 45 years, Pierre Pete died in 2005. Surviving are two daughters, Jeannine (Bud) Campbell of Memphis, and Mary Ann (Dick) Kopp of Camillus; three grandchildren, John (Denise) Devine of Ohio, Mary Helen Hadden of Solvay, and Barbara Ann (Bill) Wisneski of Solvay; four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-granddaughters. Calling hours will be today, Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main St., Marcellus. Services will be Thursday 9 a.m. at the funeral home and 9:30 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Church. Burial will be at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Parish Outreach at St. Francis Xavier Church, or the Marcellus Ecumenical Food Pantry.
