"Mrs. Emma Alma Williams passed away at her home here Tuesday, after suffering poor health for a long period.
Mrs. Williams was born at Sargents, Colo. August 8, 1896 but had made her home in Buena Vista for the past four years.
She is survived by a daughter, Ethel Williams, and her parents Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Hicks of this city; [a daughter] Miss Amy Williams of Cedaredge, Colo.; a daughter, Mrs. Walter [Lenore] Champlin of Ridgway, Colo.; and a sister Mrs. E. N. [Ethel] Moseley.
Rev. French conducted funeral services yesterday afternoon at the Humphrey Chapel and the body was laid to rest in Mt. Olivet cemetery."
Note: I found the above obituary in my mother's (Amy Williams Phillips) things. There is no indication of which newspaper it came from. My grandmother Emma Williams had another daughter not mentioned in the obituary. At the time of my grandmother's death, this daughter's name was Pearl (Williams) Stoll. I believe she was later divorced from Mr. Stoll and remarried. I don't remember her second husband's name.
