Mrs. Bessie Blount, 87, a resident of DeKalb for many years died Sunday evening June 21, 1959, at the Lydia Rest Home at Hampshire.
She was born at Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of Theodore and Mathinelda Thalor was married to Claude Blount at Baraboo, Wis., August 18, 1896. She was one of the oldest members of the DeKalb Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, G. Perry Blount; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Fitzpatrick of Glendale, Calif.; a grandson; and one sister, Mrs. Mamie Hoffman of Las Vegas, Nev. Her husband died in 1930.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Wirtz Funeral Home with Rev. Chester Carlson officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon and evening.
