BARROW, KATHRYN W. "MEME" A retired nurse and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 9:10 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2005, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 82 and a native of Tchula, Miss. Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., in charge of arrangements. Visiting at Florida Boulevard Baptist Church, religious service, conducted by Dr. Stephen Trammell and the Rev. Louis Boyd. Graveside service at Grace Episcopal Church Cemetery, St. Francisville. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Bonnie B. McDaniel, and Mary B. Rising and retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Eddie Rising; a son and daughter-in-law, Gordon T. "Tom" Barrow III and Karen Marie Barrow; two sisters, Norma Furgerson and Gloria Livingston; four grandchildren, Kerry Rising Fickett, Wendy McDaniel Reed and Dustin and Tanner Barrow; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Gordon T. Barrow Jr.; son-in-law, Joe McDaniel; and parents, J.B. and Willie Hodge Walker. Pallbearers will be Barney Foreman, Gaylon Dighton, Odis Gore, Jimmy Boles, Mike Jones and Bob McDaniel. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Danny Wood, Dr. Ronnie Bombet and Dr. Leon Bombet. She was a member of Florida Boulevard Baptist Church, a teacher with Esther Sunday school for 20 years and was an avid reader of the Bible. A special thanks to the doctors at the Pulmonary Disease Clinic and nurses, June, Suzanne, Pam and Rachell, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center for their special care during our mother's illness.
