Anna M. Spitler, 84, died Saturday, Sept.9, 2006 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born October 25, 1921 in Madison, WI . She lived most of her life in Fort Wayne; was a homemaker and member of Liberty Mills Church of the Nazarene. She served as Community Volunteer for the West Central Neighborhood Association and volunteered for many years as Poll Watcher on Election Day. She enjoyed and was dedicated to her Church Mission and her many life-long friends. An avid reader, she continually wanted to keep up with current events, but also enjoyed a good mystery novel. She is survived by her sons, Richard "Steve" (Sarah) Stephens of Vero Beach, FL and Dennis (Sue) Spitler of Fort Wayne; daughters, Sheila Morimanno of South Bend and Janice I. Spitler of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildtren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard in 1990, and also by 2 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral Service 11:00AM Wednesday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8PM at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. The family's preferred memorials are Liberty Mills Church of the Nazarene, Turnstone Center for Disabled Children & Adults or the Kidney Foundation of Indiana.
