Funeral services for Mr. Jack Lewis Lovell, age 79 of Manchester conducted at the Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kerry Walker officiating.

Burial in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Lovell passed away Tuesday morning at Manchester Healthcare Center.

Mr. Lovell was born in Bedford County, TN on March 8, 1930, the son of the late Eugene and Jimmie Lee Chilton Lovell.

He retired after 33 years from AEDC as a pipe fitter and welder. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was a member of the Masons.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Lovell and three sisters, Eugenia McCullough, Jane Brothers and Birdie Fields.

His survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Melva Lovell of Manchester; a son, Gary (Debra) Lovell of Manchester; a daughter, Linda (Steve) DeFord of Manchester; a brother, Grady (Linda) Lovell of Shelbyville; three sisters, Ann Wright of Athens, TN, Margaret (Coleman) Brandon of Fairfield, TN, and Electra Thorpe of Shelbyville, TN; two grandchildren, Amy (Shane) Green and Devin (Missy) DeFord of Manchester; and three great-grandchildren, Garrett, Eli and Emily DeFord; and numerous nieces and nephews.
