21358 Pte William Milham B.A. Column 9th Field Ambulance Brigade served as a Ambulance Driver during WWI, until discharged on medical grounds.
He was the son of Sydney Leaf Milham & Jane Prettis (Stevenson) Milham, and brother of Louisa Jane (Castle); Robina (Barry); Thomas; Sydney and John Milham.
He married Florence Webb in 1918 and together they were loving parents to several children, amongst them Hazel Jean who was to marry U.S. Army Cpl. Stanley Edward Butler during WWII, to which union a son Harry John a.k.a. John was born and raised in Australia by his grand parents.
William or Bill as he was known was a brave soldier who served his country with honour and bravery.
His war experiences continued to haunt him until his death, and he is sadly missed by his grandson John.
