According to other family trees, Lucile was born on 06 Apr 1897 to Frank Thomas Brantley (1855-1921) and Della Mattie Jennings (1860-1936). Frank and Della married about 1880. Lucile's siblings were Nelus (born ~1886), Harris (1888-1938), Rose (born ~1891), Thomas (1893-1964) and Alver (born ~1899).
When Lucile was 17 years old, she married James M. Harper on 26 Jul 1914 in Bibb County, Georgia.
James and Lucile had three children:
*Joseph S. Harper (born ~1917; likely named after his paternal grandfather Joseph S. Harper (1856-1923))
*Blanche E. Harper (born ~1919)
*James M. Harper (born ~1923, likely born late 1922 or very early 1923 based on his father's death)
James passes away on 01 May 1922. He is either tragically wounded by someone else or his own hand which results in his death. He is 29 years old. James leaves his 25 year old pregnant widow and two young children. by late 1922 or early 1923, Lucile bears their third child James M. who one can presume is named after his father.
In 1930, Lucile is a widow living in Macon, Georgia with her three children.
Between 1930 and 1940, between the ages of 28 and 38, Lucile marries Thomas Boddiford. Thomas, Lucile and Lucile's son James (who is called James Boddiford in the census) are living on Roosevelt St. in Dublin, Laurens County, Georgia. I find no evidence to show Lucile and Tom had children. I do not know if Thomas remarries. He passes away in 1981 and is buried in Doubleheads Baptist Church Cemtery in Sylvania, GA where his parents and other family members are buried.
Lucile passes away at the young age of 45. Thomas is ~47 years old. One can presume that Thomas buried Lucile with her first husband James in his family's Harper lot in Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia.
