Contributor Nancy Ziemba Gleaton provided the following obituary: North - Services for Hoyt C. Bozard, 76, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Providence Baptist Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 tonight at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Providence Baptist Church, Rt. 4, Box 1765, Orangeburg, SC 29118. Mr. Bozard died Saturday, May 13, 2000. Born in Calhoun Co., he was a son of the late John Emmett and Felicia Austin Bozard. He was a retired small engine mechanic and an army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church where he was a lifetime deacon and former secretary of the Sunday School. Surviving are his wife, Naomi Furtick Bozard; sister, Clara Ann McCullough of Cayce; brothers, Beverly S. Bozard of West Columbia, Alvin D. Bozard of Columbia; nieces and nephews.
