Loretta Theis, age 82, a former resident of Buckman, MN died June 26, 1992 at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls.
Funeral services were held July 1, 1992 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman with Father Ken Brenny officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Loretta was born December 29, 1909 in Almena, Wisconsin to the late John and Elizabeth (Mueller) Broschofsky. She was united in marriage to John Theis in 1927. They purchased a farm near Buckman, MN where they farmed most of their married life. Loretta was a member of the Christian Mothers for many years and greatly enjoyed her hobbies of gardening and needle work.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Reinhard and Ruth of Morrill, Donald and Janice of Cottage Grove, Alphonse and Irene of Hastings, Lawrence and Jodi of Clearwater, Roderick and Ann of Hilex, Oregon; daughters, Sister Eileen Theis of Tuscon, Arizona, Mrs. Willard (Helen) Hoheisel of New Prague, Cecelia Meyer of Hastings, Marian Bleichner of Sartell, Mrs. William (Judy) Glafke of Eagle River, Alaska; brothers, Edwin and wife Loretta Broschofsky of Foley and John Broschofsky of Isle; one sister, Geneive Broschofsky of Walker; 37 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; sons, Bernard and Raymond; daughter, Marie and brother, Peter.
Casketbearers were Paul, Gerald, John, Jason and Andy Theis and Thomas Hoheisel.
