Son of John Peter Jungels & Katharina Rose Lutgen. Husband to Mary Loch.

Cornelius bought land and when the deed papers were drawn up they had spelled Jungels - Jungles, they felt that it was going to be to much work to change this mistake so from then on Cornelius and his family just took on this new spelling of the last name as their own.

CORNELIUS JUNGLES
Cornelius Jungles, aged 65 years, died Sunday night at the home of his son, Nicholas. He was born April 4, 1865, and was a life-long resident of the Watkins community.
Surviving are seven children who are: Peter, Jacob, Nicholas, Mrs. William Kaufman (Applonia), Mrs. Ray Peters (Leona), all of Watkins; Mrs. H.J. Bertram (Rose) of Paynesville and Gregor of St. Cloud. He is also survived by one brother and three sisters, 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Nicholas Jungles home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic church with Rev. Henry A. Steichen officiating. Burial will be in St. Nicholas cemetery.
