LOCKHART John D. Zugg Jr. (Buster), 59, of Smithville, Texas, formerly of Odessa, passed away Sunday, Dec. 02, 2007.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2007, at Eeds Funeral Home, 408 South Main in Lockhart, Texas.

He is survived by his life part­ner, Judy Horn of Smith­ville, Texas; one son, John Zugg III of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Linda and her husband, Bill Crouse of New Waverly, Texas, and Phyllis and her husband, Billy Howell of Odessa, Texas; stepchildren, Michael Nutt and Dana Compton, Kimberly Pearson and her husband, Art, Tracy Justice and husband, Russel; grandchildren, Aubrea Pearl and Ashlea Dayan Zugg, Aaron and Angellica Washington, and Jordan and Shelly Justice.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie Zugg and his father, John D. Zugg and mother, Helen Zugg Sarrels.

John was born November 15, 1948, in Odessa, Texas. He was a graduate of Odessa High School in 1967, and a Marine Corp veteran. After many years of working as a commercial insulator, he enjoyed his retirement by sitting home and telling jokes to friends or going out to dinner. John always had a story to tell and he never met a stranger.
John will be greatly missed by his family, grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews and all his friends, as they always made him smile.
