GIBSON CITY - Bert "Vernon" Hill, 94, Gibson City, died at 11:16 a.m. Monday (March 23, 2009) at his home, the Blair House in Normal.
Visitation: 10 a.m. preceding the funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church, Gibson City. The Rev. Laurie Hill and Rev. John Oerter officiating.
Burial: Glen Cemetery, Paxton. Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Gibson City or the OSF Hospice program in Bloomington.
Survivors: two sons, Ron (Karen) Hill, Normal, and Steve (Laurie) Hill, Decatur; a daughter, Linda Barrow, Normal; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Kreis, Blue Island.
