Mrs Iva Lee Long Drawdy, 68, widow of William Hansel Drawdy, died Sunday, December 6, 1987 after an extended illness. Born in Hampton County, she was a daughter of the late George Henry Long and Myrtle "Myrtie" Winn Long. She was a member of the Hampton First Christian Church and a member of the choir. Mrs Iva Lee was chosen to sing in the Rev. Billy Graham Crusade Choir in Columbia, S C in May 1987. Surviving are three sons: Jack M Drawdy, (Dot) George M Drawdy (Joyce) and J Arnold Drawdy (Sheri) and three daughters: Janice D Sloman (Bobby), Linda D Duggan (Charles), Betty Jo D Crosby (Willie), two sisters Irene L Cooke and Nell L Cobb six half brothers: J.P. , Marian, Rudolph, Carl, Marshall, Leroy Long and three half sisters: Juanita L King, Eunice L Jarrell and Kathleen L Pellum, grand-children and gr-grandchildren. Iva Lee was predeceased by a sister Hazel Long Lanier . Memorial service was held Tuesday Dec. 8, 1987 at the Hampton First Christian Church by Fred L Brown former minister of Hampton First Christian Church. Burial was in Thames cemetery on Hwy 278 directed by Peeples- Rhoden funeral Home 300 Mulberry St.
