Lola Jean Gellenbeck Patterson, 55, of 3028 Henry St. died at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 1997 at Home Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana.

Born June 22, 1942, in Lafayette. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1960. She married John Hiram Patterson on March 24, 1961 in Lafayette. He survives. She had been a lifelong resident of Lafayette.

Surviving are two sons; John A. Patterson, of Indianapolis, and Nathanial B. Patterson of Lafayette; two daughters; Mrs. Genevive (Mike) Tyson of Lafayette and Mrs. Evelyn M. (Stuart) Anderson of Indianapolis. Also surviving is her mother, Evelyn Gellenbeck of Lafayette; a brother, William Gellenbeck (Lena) of Odel, Indiana; and two sisters, Mary Lou Johnson of Arizona and Mrs. Luann (Benjamin) Leming of Lafayette.

No visitation or service. Surviving are 5 grandchildren. Friends may best express sympathy by contributing to the American Cancer Society.
