Icye Cotton was born in Knoxubee County Mississippi. She was the daughter Ben and Mahalia Dismuks. She married Alexander Conner at an early age and to this union three children were born. She was a member Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. She did missionary work for many years in the county. Sister Cotton was a member Eastern Star. She also worked for many years with the head start program. One daughter preceded her in death, Icye Stovall.
She leaves to mourn, 1 daughter, Carrie
Griffin of South Holland, Illinois, 1 son,
George Alexander of Belzoni, Mississippi,
1 step-daughter, Fannie Webb of Beloit,
Wisconsin, 10 grandchildren, 16 great
grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren.
A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
