Their two children included: John Franklin Wyatt, Jr. and Eppie Carolyn Wyatt.
"Jonnie" drowned in the Caney Fork River with William Herschel Wyatt on June 28, 1903. He was only 15 years old. Their daughter Eppie (Overstreet) died March 16, 1957 from the poisoning of deadly carbon monoxide fumes escaping from a faulty gas water heater vent in her apartment.
John died on April 9, 1935 in Chestnut Mound, Smith, Tennessee and is buried there at Wyatt Cemetery.
