Aged Resident Died Friday Near Arlington
Uriah Gordon, aged seventy years, passed away Thursday a.m. about 11 o'clock, at his home, south of Arlington. His death was caused from a complication of diseases. Mr. Gordon had spent his entire life in the Gwynneville and Arlington communities. The deceased was a painter by occupation and was very well known in that neighborhood.
He was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist church for several years. He is survived by one son, Dr. William D. Gordon, of Seymour and one sister, Mrs. Walter Northam, of near Arlington. Also two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Wesleyan Methodist church on Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, the Rev. Ed Kennedy officiating. Interment will be made in the church cemetery, Carmony Bros. in charge.
