Seba Higley Case went to Ontario County, New York, with his parents, around 1800, and later he went to Ohio and then to Indiana, where is stayed and became a very wealthy farmer.
When he was fourteen years of age, he served in the War of 1812, according to one source. In early life he learned a shoemaker's trade, which he followed for several years, before becoming a farmer.
Note: The 1850 Census says that Seba was born in New York. There is a question about just what state he was born in.
Also, I found a marriage between Seba H. Case and Elizabeth Castle on 30 Mar 1860 in Parke County, Indiana.
