General Sherman Williams, 65, passed away Sunday at his home in Goin. Survivors: wife Mrs. General Williams of Goin; daughters Mrs. Doskey Williams of Goin, Mrs. Satra Pyke of Kokomo, Ind.; sons Floyd, Paris of Goin, Foster and Otis of Erie; brothers J. S. Williams of Goin, J. H. Williams of New Tazewell; sister Mrs. Dessie Beller of Erie; 12 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Leatherwood Church with Revs. Lloyd England and Ruphern Hooper officiating. Interment in Williams Cemetery. Pall bearers were Ernest Stiner, Laudie Maddox, Lloyd Williams, Arch Williams. Flower girls were Sara Williams, Emma Lou Williams, Nellia Williams, Reba Williams, Dot Williams, Betty Williams, Lillian Williams, Elsie Williams and Beatrice Williams. Reece Funeral Home of New Tazewell in charge.
