Mrs. Powell was born in Adair County, Kentucky. She came to Wagoner in 1923 and was the widow of Pete Powell, early day Wagoner County farmer. She was a member of the Wagoner Church of God.
Survivors are her three sons, J. L. Powell, Wagoner, Willie of Vallejo, California, and Charley Powell of Brownsville, Texas; five daughters, Mrs. E. T. Houx of Wagoner, Mrs. May McLimon, of Sand Springs, Mrs. Floyd Cash of Rose, Oklahoma, Mrs. Hattie Ramsey of Tulsa and Mrs. Ola Greenwall of Los Angeles, California; 24 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great Grandchildren.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Green Funeral Home, Wagoner.
Pallbearers are to be Earl Gilbert, John Carter, Bud Cobb, O. B. Nichols, Bob Cannon and R. E. Shearrer.
