Lucy was born in Normandy, Bedford County, TN on Aug. 11, 1899. Before moving to Tacoma in 1968, Lucy and her late husband, S.D. had lived in Toledo, OH and Omak, WA. Lucy was a member of the Church of Christ, and most recently of the South Hill Congregation. Her interests were her family, cooking, entertaining friends, reading and her garden. Lucy and her husband farmed for many years near Omak, and giving away produce from their garden and orchard gave them much satisfaction. A great sense of humor and love of people were among Lucy's best qualities. Survivors include: a son, Charles (Marjorie) Cates, Yuma, AZ; daughters, Evelyn (Wesley) Dickson, Port Townsend, WA and Bonnie (Harry) Strickland, Tacoma. Lucy is also survived by grandsons, Scott and Bryan Dickson and granddaughters, Lynne Stanko, Paula Howell and Candi Kistler and 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Gladys Cannon, Nashville, TN.
