JANE A. FISHER DIES SUDDENLY AT HOME OF SON

Short Illness Fatal To Prominent Local Woman Yesterday

Mrs. Jane A. Fisher, 2130 North street, widow of Samuel Fisher, died suddenly late yesterday afternoon at the home of her son, Dwight Fisher, at Morehouse, Mo., according to word reaching here last evening. Mrs. Fisher was 68 years old.

Leaving Logansport for a visit with two sons in California last fall, Mrs. Fisher had returned east to Missouri for a visit with two other sons there just two weeks ago.

She became ill on Monday of this week, local relatives learned by telephone last night, but her condition was not regarded as serious up to the time of her sudden death yesterday; which was attributed to heart trouble.

Husband Dies in 1914

Mrs. Fisher was the eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Himmelberger. She was born on the home place in the country between Logansport and Walton. Her husband, Sam Fisher, died in 1914.

The body will arrive in Logansport over the Wabash on Friday morning. Arrangements for the funeral had not been made last night but burial will be in the family's mausoleum in Mt. Hope cemetery.

Survivors include two sons in Los Angeles, Earl and Ivan; two sons at Morehouse, Mo.; Dwight and Glenn, and two daughters, Mrs. Earl Schafter, River Forest, Ill., near Chicago, and Mrs. Fay McIntyre, wife of Dr. L. U. McIntyre; her sister, Mrs. Horace Crismond, and fifteen grandchildren.

Mrs. Fisher was a member of the North Street Christian church and the local War Mothers. She was widely known over the city and county through lifelong residence here.
