William Gunkle Rites Set
ELOY — Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
today at the Valley Funeral Home chapel for William
Gunkle who was fatally struck by a car Feb. 21 on 11
Mile Corner Road. He was pronounced dead at the
scene.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the
chapel. The Rev. George Lewis will officiate. Burial
will be in Eloy Memorial Park.
Mr. Gunkle was born Feb. 27, 1945 in Eloy. He
lived in the area all his life. He was a farm laborer.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Bertie Gunkle,
Eloy; his brothers, Joe of Coolidge, Fred, Samuel,
Gerald and Don, all of Eloy; his sisters, Mrs. Luella
Brewer of Tennessee, Mrs. Ethel Williams of California
and Mrs. Glenda Martinez, Eloy.
