Sarah Jane Strange
Funeral services for Sarah Jane Strange, 79, of Hillsboro were held Monday in the Camas Funeral Home with the Rev. John Phipps officiating. Mrs. Strange died May 28 in Hillsboro.
Anna Mettler sang "In the Garden" and "Till We Meet Again" at the services with Dorothy Newby as organist. Vault interment was in the Fern Prairie cemetery.
Mrs. Strange was born March 17, 1874, in Iowa and lived in the Fern Prairie district from 1914 to 1928. From there she moved to Portland and for the past two years she lived in North Plains, Ore.
She is survived by seven sons; Roy, Aurora, Ore.; Raymond, Tigard; John, Tigard; Bruce, Monument, Ore.; Robert, Portland; George, Arkansas; Conrad, California; and 2 daughters, Mrs. Sarah Jane Brisbine, Hillsboro, and Mrs. Sena Trautman, Los Angeles.
