Gusta A. Walker, 77, formerly of Bargersville and Franklin, died Thursday night at the home of her son, Clarence "Fred" Walker in Fort Myers, Fla.
She was born Oct. 18, 1908, in Hensley Township, to Clarence and Bell (Wilkerson) Applegate. She married Arthur Walker in 1924. He preceded her in death Dec. 11, 1969.
She and her husband owned and operated Walker Funeral Home from 1958 to 1969. Their son took over the business until 1981 when it became Vandivier-Tudor Bargersville Chapel.
She was a member of Bluff Creek Christian Church and Bargersville Order of Eastern Star 470.
A service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Vandivier-Tudor Bargersville Chapel with the Rev. Albert Lorber officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
Surviving with her son are three grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
