Mr. J. L. Forrest, 35, of Winona, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 1999 at Tyler Holmes Hospital in Winona of internal injuries. An employee of Delta Electric Power Association, he was active in Bethlehem MB Church and the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20 at Bethlehem MB Church with the Rev. Riley Forrest and Rev. L. M. Forrest officiating. Burial was in the Bethlehem MB Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Mae Forrest of Winona; a son, Laurentis Forrest of Winona; a daughter, Arjona Forrest of Winona; his mother, Mrs. . Zelma Forrest of Winona; four brothers, Rev. Riley forest of Louisville, Rev. L.M. Forrest, Jr. of Canton, Lee A. Forrest and Theo Forrest, both of Winona; three sisters, Eldora Benjamin of St. Louis, Mo., Jossie Hearn of Winona and Flora Hargrove of Memphis, Tenn. and his maternal grandfather, Eli Robinson of Winona.
Sanders & Sanders Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
