William Edward "Bill" Jones, Jr., 58, of 532 Ward St., died Sunday, February 8, 2009, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Born in Person County, Mr. Jones was the son of the late William Edward Jones and Edith Oakley Blackard, who survives, of Burlington. Mr. Jones graduated from North Carolina State University and was an industrial engineer at Cone Mills and Mohawk Industries, plant manager at Culp Industrial and at Collins & Aikman. He was a member of the Mustang Club of Burlington and the Single Action Shooters Society. He was a staff member of Mustang Week. Mr. Jones was a member of St. Marks Church in Burlington
In addition to his mother, Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Patricia "Pat" Varner Jones; two daughters, Courtney Jones and Laura Jones, both of Graham; three sisters, Diane J. Williams, of Wilmington, Jeanne J. Misenheimer, of Mebane and Janice J. Mullis, of Burlington; one grandchild, Breckin Carter; one nephew, Jack Winstead; three nieces Sara Kinlaw, Emily Dawson and Abbey Misenheimer.

A memorial service will be held 2PM Thursday at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church by the Rev. Joel Gilchrist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Morgan, Rodney Melton, Darryl Hinshaw, Brad Worley, Mike Clay and Mark Bailey.
