Jeannette Van Drie died August 3, 1978 in Hegg Memorial Hospital after a ten-month affliction with cancer. She reached the age of 88 years, 24 days.

She was born Janke Zwanenburg on July 9. 1890, in Jubbega-Schurega, Friesland. She was the wife of John Harmelink, Sr., from February 25, 1914. to May 16, 1951.

On August 17. 1955, she married Jake Van Drie. He died on November 3. 1977.

Services were held Monday, August 7, in the First Reformed Church with Allen Pruis, Assistant Pastor, officiating. His message was "Living in an Earthly Tent. Longing for a Heavenly Home." (II Corinthians 5: l-10). Organist was Cornelia Wissink, a niece.

Music was provided by James Vander Velde. great-grandnephew, and Minda Harmelink. great-granddaughter, who sang "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art," and Esther Van Liere, granddaughter, who sang "When We See Christ." The congregational hymns were "Blest Be The Tie That Binds"and "God Be With You Till We Meet Again."
Bearers were her six sons.
