Professional Hockey Player, Coach. Born Alfred George Pike, he played at the left-wing and center positions for six seasons (1939 to 1943, 1945 to 1947) in the National Hockey League with the New York Rangers. He was a member of the 1939-1940 Stanley Cup Champion Rangers' Team, appearing in 12 games with 3 goals and 1 assist during that post season. In 234 career regular season games, he scored 42 goals with 77 assists. His career was interrupted while he served in the Canadian Military during World War II. After retiring as a player, Pike served as head coach of the New York Rangers for parts of two seasons (1959 to 1961).
