Norman Edward Ferguson, 83, passed away December 24, 1996 at the home of his daughter.
He was Born January 16, 1913 in Monroe, Utah to Robert Henry Ferguson and Lucetta Ellen Pletcher. He married Mary Boardman on July 20, 1931. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on March 3,1944.
Norman attended Provo City schools where he graduated from Provo High School. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He lived and worked in the Provo area being involved in all phases of the construction industry until 1968 when he moved to Canada to pursue mining interest. He was there until just prior to his death. He was active in the LDS church and enjoyed lively gospel discussions.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; five daughters; Mrs. Jay (Bonnie) Jeffery, Morgan, Utah; Mrs. Wilson (Mary Lynn) Heaton, Salt Lake City, Utah; Mrs. Art (Polly Anna) Enke, Orangeville, Utah; Mrs. Randy (Helen) Fritchen, Harbor City, California; Mrs. Alan (Nelly) Madsen, Salem, Utah; three sons; Norman Kelly (Crystal) Ferguson, Columbia Falls, Montana; Robert Hilton Ferguson, Pembeston British Columbia, Canada; Sylvan Ferguson, British Columbia, Canada; 45 grandchildren and 88 great-grandchildren and brother; Garth a. Ferguson, Provo. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
Burial will be at the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery in Provo.
