Gerald "Jerry" Hooker 69, of Bolivar, formerly of Memphis, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Methodist Hospital North. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 6, at Memphis Funeral Home Germantown Parkway Chapel, with interment to follow in Memory Hill Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Jerry retired from the Memphis Fire Department. He enjoyed restoring old cars and was a member of the National Street Rod Association. He is survived by 4 sons, Randy Hooker, Glenn Hooker, Cory Hooker, and Brant Hooker; 3 grandchildren, Gerald Hooker III, Tyler Hooker, and Glenda Joe Hooker; and his caregiver and friend, Carol Kilpatrick and her sons.
