"Letter from Susan Pinkerton LeFevers Trunk"
May 12th, 1893
The state of Alabama Marion Co Pierces Mill PO
I this one time more take the blissful opportunity to write to you to let you know that I am just alive but mighty feeble only a few more days for me to toil in spirit tilt my soul shall take its flight to that bless home.
I have where there is room and bread for the poor that Christ bids me come into rest forever more.
I have toiled in pain and in sorrow threw this life but blessed he that god of my salvation there is rest for me in that blessed home of heaven where all the blood washed had gone.
Now Arminda I don't know where that I shall live to write to you any more in this life or not, God knows the time when he shall bid me to come up there.
Now Arminda all the connections are well as far as I know.
Arminda I want you to write to me if you can come the 27 of October or not.
I will be 100 years old then and the people said they was going to give me a dinner and in write all the connection to come in and be with me one time more.
So I will close for this time may God bless you in your father's prayers.
Written by his grandson John W S Tyler and Arminda write to me for I cannot write no more this time and I will try to with the help of God to preach the first Sunday in June no more this time.
