2016:
They are mistaking a Pvt. Frank William Feistel with (this) Frank Feistel... some researchers have also included a 1st name variation of "Franz" and a middle name variation of "Wilhelm" for that Frank... and they're even attaching the wrong spouse & children to that one in their family trees!
Theirs was born in Texas - this one was b. in Austria. These 2 Frank Feistels were born AND died in the same years but on different dates in those years.. which is probably why the initial confusion. They had different Soc. Sec. #'s. Apparently they both served in the military too. THIS Frank Feistel was the husband of my 1st cousin 1x removed [Mary A. (Nestor)]. I have several records for him, none of which show a middle name for him.. just as is engraved on the headstone. Also, his wife Mary is buried in a different cemetery with their son, daughter-in-law & grandson, which is why his is the only name on this headstone.
