He is survived by his widow, Jennie C. Wilson, a son, Stanley R.. of New York, and a daughter, Mrs. Bernice Snetiage (Schnetlage) of Chicago. Prof. Wilson lived at 5051 North Bernard street.

Charles was the son of Jonas and Lucinda "Jane" (Wilson) Johnson. He was born near New Boston. His parents died when he was about 8 years old. He was raised in the Swedish Andover Orphanage in Andover, Henry County, Illinois until he was 18 years old. He had one brother, John and two sisters, Emma "Dora" and Alida "Esther". He changed his name from Johnson to Wilson before he married. He married Jennifer (Modine) 7 Jun 1899 in Cook County, IL. Three of their children were: Stanley Raymond, Bernice Marjorie and Melville L.
I was given information that there were three more children but I don't have proof for birth or death for them: Twin boys, Emil and Arthur that were stillborn and a little girl, that lived only a year.
