Georgia Alma was the youngest of three children born to George Washington and Julia Ann "West" Mordecai. She was the grand-daughter of John and Jane "York" Mordecai who lived and died in Lamar Co., AL.
She married James S. Robinson in Lowndes Co, MS on 15 Dec 1881. James was the son of Archibald P. and Martha "Randall" Robinson. James and Georgia Alma became the parents of nine children: Lula R., Rush K., Garland Q., Wood J., Julia I., Vesta Hortense [Nickels], Corine, Elbert Levirt and Roy Ray.
Her mother, Julia Ann, is buried in this {Egger} cemetery. Her father enlisted in the Civil War and was captured near Resaca, GA, and sent to a Union military prison in Illinois where he died from pneumonia. He is buried in the Confederate Cemetery near Alton, IL.
