Mrs. Hubbard Dies in Indianapolis
Mrs. Effie Hubbard of 1259 South Capital Avenue, Indianapolis, a former Martinsville resident, died at 2:15 Wednesday morning in General Hospital, Indianapolis. Her funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Robert W. Stirling Funeral Home at 1420 Prospect Street. The burial will take place here in South Park Cemetery with the funeral party expected to arrive at about 2:30. The casket will be opened for the brief graveside rites. The daughter of Isaac and Rachel Ferran, Mrs. Hubbard, age 78, was born south of Martinsville. She was married to James Hubbard who died several years ago. Her two daughters, Mrs. Edna Taggart of New Jersey and Mrs. Lena Borton of Southport, survive. Mrs. Ed Woods of this city is a sister-in-law, while nieces and nephews include Mrs. Clarence Sanders, George and William Schoolcraft, Ted and Gilbert Ferran of Martinsville, Charles C. Townsend of Nobles vill, and Henry Townsend of Indianapolis.
