Geneva May Tyler Lloyd was born June 3, 1942, and died June 29, 2006. Our beloved sister, niece, aunt and friend. Geneva passed away suddenly. She is now at home with the Lord, her parents, family, and husband Chet. She was married to Chester N. "Chet" Lloyd August 18, 1962, in Springfield, Oregon. Geneva lived all her life, except for several brief times away, in the Springfield area, where she was born and raised. She attended Springfield schools and graduated from Springfield High in 1960. She shared her life with her husband and their canine house critters, spending many enjoyable yers at their home in the woods. After Chet died, she moved in to "town", where she then spent many wonderful and enjoyable hours with her books, both reading and the writing of several. She worked for a time at Thurston Book Exchange, where she still spent many enjoyable hours meeting with friends. She love working with Stained Glass and Paper Cuttings. Geneva, a person who cherised her privacy most of the time, was warm, loving and outgoing when you would meet her in person. She was a friend who would listen and share. Her intellect and wonderful sense of humor would stand out in conversations. Her Dad had nicknamed her "Slow Poke" which she did her best to live up too. SHe will be greatly missed. Geneva was proud of all her nieces and nephews and was looking forward to watching her great niece, US Air Force Major Nicole Malachowski, who is the first women Thunderbird pilot, fly in an air show in Spokane in late July. She is survived by her sister Edith (Kent) Clarida of Wenatchee, WA; and an aunt Lila Anson of Brewster, Wa; and nieces, Cathy (Robert) Ellingwood of Las Vegas, NV, Caren Medina of Riverside, CA, Carol Mahoney of Upland, CA, Candy (Larry) Dunnaway of Topock, AZ; and by Chet's family, Steven Lloyd of Springfield, OR, Elizabeth Martin of Portland,OR and Barbara Betnar of Goodyear, AZ; and all her nieces and nephews. She was born to Earl and Harriet (Leazott) Tyler who preceded her in death. Her half-sister Helen (Tyler) Gist also preceded her in death. A Memorail was held July 7, 2006, in her honor at her favorite location and was attended by her family and beloved friends.
