Ross W. Adkinson, 63, of rural Ionia, died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack at his home Thursday morning.
Born in Tipton County, Ind., November 8, 1912, he was the son of William and Dovie Adkinson. He was a member of the Palo United Methodist church.
In 1938 he was married to Luella Hopkins and she survives as do a son, David Adkinson of Palo, a daughter, Mrs. Sarah Carlson of Royal Center, Ind., six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Hamilton of Tipton, Ind.; and two brothers, Leo Adkinson of Galveston, Ind., and Ralph Adkinson of Sharpsville, Ind.
Services will be conducted Saturday at 1:30 pm at the Stebbins and Simpson funeral home in Sheridan. Rev John Guerney will officiate and interment will be at Palo Cemetery.
Memorials have been established for either the Michigan Heart Association or Palo United Methodist church.
Family members will be at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 8:30 pm.
