Joseph Boylan, 87, died at the Veterans Administration Center in West Palm Beach. He was born in Waterbury, CT and lived in Vero Beach and Pinehurst, NC.

He was a prisoner of war during his service as a B26 pilot in World War II. He was awarded the Silver Star and two Purple Hearts.

Before retirement, he was an executive for 30 years at TRW in California.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Trudi Lindemann Boylan; son, Joseph Patrick Boylan; daughters, Barbara Boylan Wiprud and Beverly Boylan Curtis; step-daughter, Linda Jordon Sheppard; and six grandchildren.

SERVICES: Burial with full military honors will be at Arlington National Cemetery in May.

Arrangements are by Norwood Funeral Home in West Palm Beach.
