Soon after receiving his endowments he left for a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, to the Southern United States. He was released from his mission early because of ill health.

After his marriage he moved to Riverdale, Weber, Utah where he was engaged in farming, and was fairly successful. Willard Qindora was a good wife, but because of her very poor health this caused some difficulty in the family.

Joseph Park was very busy in church work. He was Supt. of the Sunday School and M.I.A. He was very interested in the drama productions of the ward.

He was killed with a sister-in-law Mildred Griffith in a railroad crossing accident, 11 June 1919. The loss was great to many. He was a true friend, a wonderful man and had a steadfast testimony of the gospel.
