HERMAN WINDERS SUCCUMBS TO HEART ATTACK
Herman Leo Winders, 66, who came to Grants Pass as an infant, died Thursday, October 9, following a fatal heart attack suffered at his home at 925 Pine street. Mr. Winders was the son of John Winders. He was born in Chico, Calif., Feb. 13, 1886, and was engaged in mining and construction work most of his life. He was married April 22, 1922, in Astoria, to Rose Watson, who survives him. The couple resided in Portland for some years and for the past 22 years have made their home in Grants Pass.
Other survivors include a daughter, Ethel Washabough of Monticello, Calif., a son, Robert Winders of Oakland, Calif.; a step-son, Harry Watson of Portland; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are being made with the Hull and Hull Mortuary. ~~~END~~~
