Malvie Jane Bell 87 of Glasgow died Tuesday February 24, 2009 at her home. She was born in Wayne County the daughter of the late George and Emma Jane Huffaker Coffey. Ms. Bell formally owned and operated Bell's Grocery and was an employee of T. J. Samson Community Hospital and Barren River State Park. She was a member of Westwood Church of Christ but had been attending the First Church of God.

The loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother is survived by a daughter Betty Crabtree and her husband Jerry of Glasgow; a daughter-in-law Nellie Bell and husband Orby Martin of Glasgow; 7 grandchildren Johnny (Carla) Bell, Benson (Ashley) Bell, and Todd (Vicky) Crabtree all of Glasgow, Kim (Ernie) McDermon of Atlanta, GA, David ( Debbie) Upchurch Jr. of Monticello, Kelly Wayne (Maribeth) Upchurch of Somerset and Janie (Alan) Gibson of Albany, KY; 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Judy Upchurch, a son Ronnie Bell and 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday February 26, 2009 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens.
