Elisa Ann was the daughter of William Ellis and his wife Ann. She was baptized in Holy Trinity, Wingate, Durham, England, on 15 Mar 1850. Her siblings included Thomas, William, George, Edmund, Mary, and Hannah; to my knowledge, none of them came to the USA. Elisa Ann, later Eliza Ann in many records, was the wife of John Indian. They had several children: Hannah, George William, and Thomas Ellis who came aboard the Brittanic in 1888 to Pennsylvania, and three babies William, Ann Elizabeth, and Edith Ann that they laid to rest in England. Although I never met her, I've often heard of Gramma and how she missed England as I was growing up. She lived with her daughter Hannah after she was widowed, and they were very close.
