Amias Cole was born say 1593, daughter of William Cole. She married (1) David Thomson, at St. Andrews, Plymouth, Devonshire, 18 July 1613, & came with him from Plymouth, Devonshire to Massachusetts Bay in 1623. He was an apothecary & agent for Fernando Gorges. They settled at Piscataqua, moved 1st to Thompson's Island, & then to Boston Harbor in 1626. They had 4 children, all born in England: Ann, Priscilla, John & Ann again.
She married (2) about 1630 Samuel Maverick (her son John Thomson calls him "my father Mr. Samuell Maverick," son of Rev. JOHN MAVERICK . She was living 3 September 1672 when her son Nathaniel Maverick of Barbados mentioned her in his will.
