Robert E. Lawrence, 49, of 4136 Vencino Street, Covina, died yesterday at the Inter Community Hospital in Covina.
He was born June 19, 1916, in Birmingham, Ala. and served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. Since the war, he had been a commercial artist and was a
member of the Elks Lodge in Compton.
He is survived by his widow, Mary G. Lawrence; mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Neal Hays of Corona; and a brother, Col. Charles M. Lawrence, Fort Lewis, Wash. Services will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the Thomas Mortuary chapel. The Rev. Donald Stout, First Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be at 1:45 p.m. in the Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.
